King Sukjong exalts a greedy concubine to the status of Bin, which is next to that of the Queen. The new Bin, who is now called Jang Hui-bin, drives out the Queen through a coup and takes her place. But thanks to loyal court officials, the King finds out what has been going on. He demotes Jang to Bin again and reinstates his Queen. Jang, now vindictive, conspires with her mother to kill the queen and reclaim her place. But the conspiracy is brought to light, and Jang is executed.

In 1943, in the Lunan area of Shandong Province, Chen Tian Fang, commander of the Lunan Independent Brigade of the Eighth Route Army, led his troops to block the Japanese army. Chief of Staff Lu Chong received an urgent message and mobilized Qin Feng's Canglang Commando to go to Ganyu in the northernmost part of Jiangsu to rescue our party comrade Wang Hua who was imprisoned by the Japanese army. During the rescue process, Wang Hua was attacked and sacrificed. Ouyang Bing's identity as a communist was exposed and he left the military command action team. Through the secret message Wang Hua left on Ouyang Bing before his death, Ouyang Bing learned the location of the tungsten to the west of Shijiagou. The Canglang Commando rushed to Jixiang Village, where the Japanese army was also looking for tungsten. The Canglang Commando and others blocked the Japanese army, withstood the Japanese offensive and successfully transferred the tungsten.

In order to unite the scattered nomadic tribes and make his people independent, the elder of one of the tribes, Khodjanepes, secretly travels to St. Petersburg to seek help from Peter I. The tsar, who was interested in strengthening the southern borders, sent Prince Cherkassky's expeditionary force to Turkmenistan, but he made a grave mistake. After listening to the Khiva Khan, who had heard about Khodjanepes's visit to the Russian capital, the tsar divided the expedition into two groups, giving Khodjanepes an excellent opportunity to deal with his soldiers.
The story begins with Jean Valjean as a humble worker endeavoring to provide for his invalid mother. They live in a squalid home, made more wretched by his inability to provide sufficient food. He goes out in search of work, but is unsuccessful. Finally, in desperation, he steals a loaf of bread regardless of consequences. He hastens home with it, pursued by a crowd, and gives it to his mother. Valjean is arrested for the theft and sentenced to five years at hard labor.
