Dynamite -- Universal's answer to Warner Bros.' canine star Rin Tin Tin -- and his owner Jerry Matthews (Edmund Cobb) come to the aid of a beleaguered rancher in this typical low-budget "doggie melodrama" set in the West.

When the Government incorporates Bill Hayden's ranch into a Federal game preserve, Jack McCabe, a forest ranger, is sent to serve an eviction notice on Hayden and his daughter, Shasta. Hayden resists the order, and Jack falls in love with Shasta.
Billy Brooks, who exhibits an effeminate personality, leaves his Wall Street magnate father and goes on the road as a perfume salesman. In an effort to cure his son of his womanly ways, Brooks, Sr. wires Nebeker, an old rancher friend, to kidnap Billy from the train and "make a man of him."
"Iron Mike" Haines (Tom Chatterton), a crooked sheriff, and "Hands" Weber (Roy Barcroft), the town blacksmith, are in cahoots and have been robbing stages, silver mines, etc., and framing innocent ranchers and cowhands with their deeds. They set out to rob the stage and frame Red Ryder (Bill Elliott as Wild Bill Elliott) for it, but the plan backfires and the sheriff is killed. The sheriff's son, Tommy (Jack McClendon), arrives home from college and is given his dad's job, not knowing he was a crook, and swears to get the man who killed him. Weber tells Tommy that Red killed his dad and Tommy sets out to get Red.
The emigrants are seen fighting the hordes of redskins. The hero rides to the settlement for help and engages in a thrilling duel with pursuing Indians. The settlers swoop down on the unprotected Indian village and burn it up. The savages seeing the flames, hurry back and fall into an ambush. They are attacked from the rear by the emigrants and from the front by the settlers. In a wild scene of carnage the surprised Indians are mowed down by the hail of bullets, horses and riders falling in tangled masses.
Virginia Redding inherits a fortune and goes to New York, leaving behind her suitor Dave, a rancher. Good fortune strikes Dave when radium deposits are discovered on his ranch, and he and his partner sell out, go to New York, and become society sensations.
Lanning heads a vigilante group till Farrell digs up some dirt which turns the vigilantes on him. To save his own reputation, Lanning must bring Farrell to trial.
After Bill Davis rescues a Native American woman from outlaw Jim Slade, he is lost in the desert, where his horse dies from thirst. Nita Randall, whose father operates a nearby mine, finds Bill in time to prevent him from suffering a similar fate. When Slade plots to take over the mine, Dad Randall kills one of outlaw's men, then dies of an injury. Bill accepts the blame and Nita turns against him. She later forgives and falls in love with Bill after he defeats Slade.
Nobody has an easy time of it in the costume actioner Shark River. Wanted for murder, Clay Webley (Warren Stevens) and his wounded cellmate Curtis Parker (Robert Cunningham) hack their way through the Florida swampland. With the help of Clay's brother Dan (Steve Cochran), Clay is able to elude the authorities, but Parker dies of a snakebite. Subsisting on alligator meat, Dan and Clay make their way to the tiny cabin inhabited by widowed Jane Daughterty (Carole Mathews), her mother-in-law, and her son Johnny (Spencer Fox). The brothers rest here awhile, formulating plans to cross the Gulf of Mexico and head for Cuba.
Two famed bounty hunters and an adventurer searching for missing orphan children, find themselves facing off against a cruel mining baron and the small army he uses to control his crooked town.
Bill Hollister (Jack Hanlon) organizes a wagon train to break the unfair monopoly held by Jake Lynch (Tom Santschi) on food prices in the mining camps. The Rambler (Ken Maynard) joins the train when it leaves for Gold Hill, and takes command when Hollister is killed from ambush. Jacques Frazelle (Al Ferguson) schemes to get rid of The Rambler and win Sue Smith (Edith Roberts). He plots with Lynch to disrupt the train, but The Rambler beats him in a whip-fight...
