Appropriated from one of fundamentalist comic book artist Jack Chick’s short “Chick tracts” designed to illustrate Christian doctrine, a young boy in the city is led astray by an older friend who disparages a sidewalk sermonizer.

Birds of many feathers peck and flap in synchronization, their prosaic behaviour transformed into music and visual rhythms that together add up to one interesting movie.

A figure floats in landscapes and spaces without a ground plane. There is only water. The reflected skies are endless and mirrored interiors are doubled in height. This film explores experiences within environments that are recognizable but surreal. This film was made as part of the third edition of the NFB's Hothouse apprenticeship.
There's no real plot here: just a string of gags on the theme of sleep, or trying to get to sleep. First, Felix and a quartet of feline Felix clones are yowling while a man is trying to sleep; then Felix encounters various obstacles in his own attempts to tryst with Morpheus.
Animated film composed of three short separate parts. In one we watch the struggle of matches with a teapot. The matches will be helped by a candle and the matches will thank her very interestingly for disposing of the teapot. In the next story, we follow the story of a little weather pencil and a little knife who falls in love with her. But the knife is unlucky, and so in the end we see how the pencil turns out when instead of a knife he uses the services of a grater. The last story presents the relationship of clothes and irons. As in the previous cases, "gratitude for help"again comes into play. I'll keep the points of the individual parts for myself, so that you have something to watch if you're lucky enough to get to these films.
When class bully Irwin taunts Violet about her fat knees (they're not) or deadly sewer gas smell (she doesn't), all she wants to do is shrink away. The thought of being in the class play about the solar system makes her itch and scratch and twirl her hair. But when she's alone or with her best friend, Opal, Violet is a master performer, mimicking her classmates and retaliating against Irwin with razor-sharp wit. Her chance for real-life revenge comes at last during the play, when she plays the offstage role of Lady Space. On opening night, when Irwin, a.k.a. Mars, starts to spin out of control and forgets his lines, Violet saves the day (but not without a little of her savage humor).
This computer animation depicts the upcoming struggle between the virtual and physical sides of our selves, where our bodies are left behind as technology enhances our ability to exist in purely virtual worlds.
