The deserts have frozen. The North and South poles are melting. Under the sea the evil robots have carried out an enormous slaughter. The mastermind of it all, evil Lady Control, makes a grave threat: "The children of the world are forbidden from playing with toys, laughing, fun and affection". The world is lost! The only hope is three brave friends. They're not warriors and they don't have weapons. But, they know how to blow up balloons and make people laugh.
The story begins with the emergence of the first high-tech molcar in Molcity, with drivers beginning to ride state-of-the-art AI-driven Molcars. Potato and friends get involved in a chase between a mysterious organization and a Molcar AI named Cannon, and are saved by a talented driver. Potato finds out that the driver is in search of his missing Molcar, and gets the idea to use Cannon's AI functionality to help with the search.
The plot follows series regulars Grandpa Boris and the babies as they become trapped in the attic on Passover; to pass the time, Boris tells the Jewish story of the Exodus. The food is secured up in a tree, and Pluto, though sleeping, is standing guard. The father sets to work on getting the food down, but junior keeps dragging Pluto out for his dinner. Dad knows that Pluto is nothing but trouble, and keeps putting him back in the tent. They eventually get the food down, between run-ins with Pluto, and are preparing to feast when Pluto runs them off and the owner returns. Pluto realizes that, without the coyotes, he's going to get blamed, and goes off to join his former foes
