Buddhist monk Tang Seng and his followers arrive in the Kingdom of Women during a storm, and find shelter in an abandoned temple. Later that night, Tang Seng meets Ye Ximo and saves her from the grips of a scorpion demon. He longs to free the spirits of her nation, and help them reincarnate. Determined to sacrifice himself for the greater good, Tang Seng sets out in search of help that may lead to greater harm.
