Damien, a young man unable to cry, lives in a paralysed emotional state. Despite trying everything from sad movies to onions, nothing can break through the walls around his emotions. Haunted by his despondency, he recalls his mother’s words and sets out to uncover the cause of his emotional disconnection. As he drifts through life, Damien’s gift for observing and mimicking other people’s emotions only deepens his detachment. However, when a long-buried memory resurfaces, it unexpectedly leads him toward the cure for his despondence.
